In Memorandum

Video Collaboration with Author David Griffith

We are often only told the big stories of violence. Civil War. World War I. World War
II. Vietnam. Gangs. Suicide Bombing. It always seems to be told as something that is
outside of us, something that happens somewhere else. What I find so powerful about
David’s work is that far away-ness is dissolved. He encourages you, the reader, the
individual to examine your own relationship to this violence, encourages you to realize
that violence belongs to all of us.

David Griffith is author of A Good War Is Hard To Find: The Art of Violence in America.
